SSE “Chernobyl NPP” applied to SNRIU to obtain a permit for Liquid Radwaste Treatment Plant operation

SSE “Chernobyl NPP” has finished the comprehensive “active” testing of LRTP systems and fulfilled all conditions of activity performance under an individual permit for LRTP commissioning issued by the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine.

On July 14, 2014, SEE ChNPP forwarded the declarative document package to SNRIU to obtain an individual permit for the facility operation. Issuing of this permit is expected based on the results of state peer review of nuclear and radiation safety of the documents submitted, and the results of performed inspection of the facility.

Currently, the equipment maintenance and its functionality testing are being carried out in accordance with approved schedules.
