Zaporizhzhya NPP Not Affected by Earthquake

The earthquake that occurred on 7 August at 11:15 in the south of Donetsk region did not affect the operation of Zaporizhzhya NPP units. There was no incompliance with operating limits.

According to the notification of the Chief Center of Special Control of the State Space Agency of Ukraine, the earthquake magnitude was about 4.9 units.

The earthquake epicenter was located in the vicinity of Mariupol. The epicenter depth was of 10 km.

Radiation background on ZNPP site did not change and complies with natural background.

ZNPP physical protection systems operate in normal mode.
