“I sincerely welcome the young people in this ample, majestic audience. For me it has a symbolic meaning, because here I studied, defended my doctoral thesis and in the same way as you, I was not indifferent to the most urgent problems of energy. Today is my time to share experience. I give the floor to all those wishing to join the discussion of the problems of nuclear industry in Ukraine”, representative of the National Science Center of the Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology Viktor Voyevodin opened the Conference.

Rector of the Kharkiv National University Vil Bakirov picked up the torch. “For Ukraine, nuclear power is very important today, because it is more than 50% of electric power supply. This area has a lot of process and political problems: not all countries respond to it positively. However, whatever the case, at this time Ukraine cannot completely stop using nuclear power plants. Therefore, we should improve them, invest in their modernization. Highly skilled experts guaranteed”, said the rector.
