A regular meeting of the headquarters for construction of a radioactive waste processing complex was held. They discussed current issues related to processing of radioactive waste at Zaporizhzhya and Khmelnitsky NPPs.
Representatives of Atomkomplekt, Automation and Engineering, Kyiv Research and Design Institute “Energoprojekt” took part in headquarters activities via videoconferencing.
The implementation of the decisions made during the previous meeting of the headquarters and internal ZNPP headquarters was monitored regarding agreement of the documents on putting the complex into trial operation, mounting and pre-commissioning, funding, meeting the schedule for complex implementation with the SNRIU.
Before the headquarters meeting, NPP management headed by Director General Oleksandr Ostapovets jointly with Energoatom Executive Director for Nuclear and Radiation Safety and Scientific and Technical Support Natalia Shumkova examined the facility under construction, listened to on-site reports of responsible representatives of the decontamination shop.
It is planned to complete activities on the complex by the end of December.
