Chonobyl NPP Gets New Acting Director General
On April 16, Volodymyr Peskov, Deputy Technical (Operation) Director, became Acting Director General of the Chornobyl NPP. This is stated in a letter by Atomprofspilka (Atom Trade Union), published by “Ukrainska Energetyka”.

“We consider the appointment of a professional who enjoys the authority and respect of the team, the right step to address the challenges facing the SSE ChNPP,” is said in the letter to Valery Matov, the chairman of the Atomprofspilka.
The order of appointment of a new acting director was signed on the basis of the statute of the State Agency for Emergency Situations approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers №564 and taking into account the requirements of Article 9 of the Law of Ukraine “On Permitting Activities in the Sphere of Nuclear Energy”.
The previous Acting Director General of the station Sergiy Kalashnyk was appointed as the State Agency of Ukraine for Exclusion Zone Management Head.
