The Exclusion Zone was left without its Head

The Head of the State Agency of Ukraine for Exclusion Zone Management Sergiy Kalashnyk has been fired. The decision was made by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine during today’s sitting.

Until the appointment of a new chairman, Andriy Plyatsok, the first deputy chairman of SAUEZM, will head. He took over the position of the first deputy chairman of SAUEZM on June 15, 2020. Prior to that, he worked as the head of the securities operations group of the financial department of the Department of Economy and Finance of the foreign investment company TNK-Ukraine, deputy finance director of the drilling department of Ukrburgaz JSC, a subsidiary of Naftogaz Ukrainy, director of Ukravtogaz, General Director of Oil Trade Service LLC and TD Continent Nafta LLC.

For 6 years he worked in the countries of the European Union, where he managed projects in the field of waste management.

The State Agency of Ukraine for Exclusion Zone Management is the central executive body, whose activities are directed and coordinated by the Cabinet of Ministers through the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine.

Sergiy Kalashnyk has been the head of SAUEZM since April 13, 2020. Before that he was acting Director General of SSE “Chornobyl NPP”.
