“How to interest girls in energy” – registration for an online hackathon
On February 24-26, 2021, there will be an online hackathon for female students “How to interest girls in energy” from the initiative “STEM girls”. It aims to increase girls’ knowledge of gender equality and teach them design thinking to develop team projects to encourage girls to pursue energy specialties.
Girls aged 16-24 are invited to participate — you must register by February 15 inclusive in Google form. After that, an expert jury will select girls from the organizers to participate in the Hackathon.
The selection results are planned to be announced on February 18 on the #GirlsSTEM Facebook page. During the three days of the hackathon will take place:
- master classes on gender equality and design thinking;
- acquaintance with women who have built a career in energy;
- development of group projects to involve girls in energy;
- mentoring of teams;
- career counseling sessions, etc.
Hackathon format — online via ZOOM from 15:00 to 20:00; from 9:00 to 16:00. Important: attendance during the entire event is mandatory!
