Uatom Project Presented at Online Conference “Black Sea Women in Nuclear”
The Uatom.org team presented the project during online conference “Black Sea Women in the Nuclear” co-organized by WiN Ukraine, Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey and Odessa Center for Nonproliferation.
The Uatom project is funded by the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority as an independent platform for presenting truthful information on nuclear and radiation safety to the public.
The website topics include the operation of Ukrainian and foreign nuclear power plants, decommissioning of reactor facilities, management of spent nuclear fuel and radioactive waste, as well as nonproliferation regime and radiation safety in medicine.
Since the conference is dedicated to the work of women in the nuclear area, it should be noted that 47% of the website users are women. Women are actively involved in website projects, they often choose work in nuclear and radiation safety and make not less contribution to the industry than men.
If you are an expert in the nuclear area and want to become the author of a blog or post your material on our resource in the form of an article, news or announcement of an event, write to pr@uatom.org.
