Radiation Background Monitoring Sensors Installed in Kyiv

In Kyiv, atmospheric air monitoring points were supplemented by an automated radiation background monitoring system.

Five sensors, based on reference the air state monitoring points, record the background radiation level in real-time mode. The measurement range is from 0.04 μSv/h to 30 Sv/h (the reference level for Kyiv is 0.26 μSv/h).

Anyone can monitor the radiation background in different city areas in real-time on the site.

According to the Head of the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Vozny, the sensors are manufactured in Ukraine, and their production and mounting is carried out at the expense of patrons, without the use of budget funds.
