United States Provided Ukraine with Contemporary Individual Protection Sentinel XL CBRN PAPR SYSTEM

On 28 September 2022, ILC Dover company supplied to Ukraine, with the help of volunteers from public organization “Ukraine and Ukrainians Abroad”, 98 units of Sentinel XL CBRN PAPR SYSTEM which cost $250 000 and can be used at chemical and radioactive contamination.

The Sentinel XL CBRN System is high performance powered air purifying respirator (PAPR) which ensures the delivery of the filtered air for 12 hours and equipped with the air cooling system. To improve the safety of the wearer, the blower constantly monitors the air flow and with the help of audio-visual alarm indicates that battery voltage is starting to drop. In addition, this respirator is convenient in use since all filters are arranged in the backpack which fastened by special belt.

The obtained individual protection means will be distributed between the rescuers of detached subdivisions of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Lviv, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv and Donetsk Regions.
